Ten years is long enough to shrink a finger
10 years ago:
...we covered the "EXIT" sign in the hotel conference room with printer paper so it wouldn't show in the portraits.
...my mother threw a hairbrush at the mirror because somebody offered to help her get ready.
...my planning binder was filled with magazine clippings, sketches, printouts and lists; complete with tabbed organization.
...my new father-in-law switched the CDs; instead of "Canon in D" we left the ceremony to "I Feel Good" by James Brown.
...we kissed to applause. Twice.
For better or for worse.
You and me against the world.
I would not be who I am without you.
Happy anniversary, Matty. I love you.
